A special thank you to students, teachers, staff, administration and parents for all your support tonight for the concert.  Everyone plays such an important part to make the concerts at OCS such a joy.  Thank you.

What is a virtuoso?

Virtuoso is "the Italian word that is used around the world to say that someone has an extraordinary musical ability"   Jake Shimabukuro from Hawaii is a modern day virtuoso.  Violin?  Piano?  Cello?
No.  He plays the ukulele (pronounced  oo-koo-leh-leh in Hawaii).   He plays a variety of musical genres including: jazz, blues, folk, rock and Spanish flamenco.  Look for his version of the Beatles song "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" on YouTube.
