Happy June!
It may be the last couple of weeks, the concert is over, but there is still a lot going on in music. We had a "hee haw", foot stomping square dance class in 3rd grade. The students learned about partners, do si do, swing, left hand and right hand star, sashe circle left and circle right.
4th grade is still playing their recorders AND WHAT A LINE of students I get each week looking to try to earn yet another belt. 5th grade is learning about how to create chords and triads. 6th grade is taking a closer look at musical theatre with the musical "Oliver". Kindergarten is doing Carnival of the Animals (seeing the orchestra and having a "parade of animals). 1st and 7th grade are learning about Mozart. 2nd is doing readings, learning about composers and singing music from Music Express.
